The consumer market is only one sector of buyers. As far as good winmo devices go I encourage you to look at the touchpro 2. Old information made by people who are either uneducated about the product or too just don't get that this phone is a little different than your traditional Moto or LG device.

Complaint 1: I don't like the default browser on WinMo. OK? So, is that the old PIE or new version include with 6.5 - huge difference. And guess what, if you don't like WinMo's PIE how about loading up Skyfire, Opera Mobile, Opera Mini, or one of the other dozen or so other browsers out there. It takes about 2 minutes to download and install. I'd put Opera Mobile and Skyfire against Safari or other mobile browsers any day of the week.

Complain 2: WinMo is slow. It can be. No question. If you are running on an underpowered phone it can be dog slow. If you have 30 apps open it can be real slow. If you are using a stock ROM with bloatware on it from the carrier it can bog down. The beauty of WinMo is that you can load up one of a hundred different ROMs to customize your experience. Many of these ROMs strip everything out but the bare essentials. On one of my phones, a device that is 3 years old now, I have no delay in moving around screens or opening apps. It's a very efficient 6.5 ROM that works wonderfully on older builds.

Complain 3: WinMo hasn't changed. If you think that the only change was the Today screen on 6.5 you are sorely mistaken. Virtually everything has changed from a navigation perspective. The move towards more finger friendly interaction is present everywhere. That doesn't even address changes like the home screen (which is radically different), the launcher, and some of the other core functions. Finally, if you aren't happy with the layout change it. Visit SPB and trick out your phone anyway you would like. Load up Customizer apps and make your phone look any way you want it.

bjsguess

Comments on

@ bjsguess

All those things you mentioned: too little too late.
