The Touch Diamond 2 and Touch Pro 2 which are arguably their best selling phones are WinMo.<br><br>I dont see where all this talk of HTC abandoning WinMo has come from. The fact that it's going to be out there means support will be coming, but right out of the gate you're going to find it incompatible with at least half the apps in the market because nobody ever bothered to test anything under QVGA.<br><br>A year down the road after this thing has been out for the while, then a QVGA Android phone might be worth looking at if you're in the market for a bargain smartphone. What a design failure.  They got rid of the chin, yes, but then made it look like some kind of early-'90s Lexus, black with gold trim.  A flat version of the white Hero would have been a huge win.  Once again, we see an inexplicable screwing of the large CDMA market in the U.S.  WAKE UP, manufacturers.<br><br>It's extremely boring hearing about one GSM phone after another. Thanks the worthless USD fewer companies will be interested to deliver a top notch mobile. The US already was most of the time last in the market thanks the border passing takes so long but now it will be even less interesting to actually invest in the US. Another factor is that the US is ofcourse a big market but it isn´t the biggest market it used to be. China but also India are heavy growing markets. I have T-Mobile, who probably has the worst GSM coverage map around, and I have never once in my life found myself without coverage. As you know, HTC (makers of 80% of all WinMo phones) is adopting Android in a big way. They are shrinking production of WinMo phones down to 50% to make room for 50% of Android phones. Other manufacturers are also adopting Android in a big way as well. That basically means that Microsoft and Google have to compete for the attention of these 3rd party handset makers and right now Google is winning.<br><br>In contrast, neither the iPhone, Pre or Blackberries suffer from this problem. Flash was one of the reasons I wanted to buy a HTC hero, thinking of all those flash based games, but I having read the reviews about the performance of flash on the hero I have changed my mind. I think I will now wait for a device which has a faster processor and more memory maybe a screen the size of the phone that graces the iphone.
