These are pretty, but it's hard for me to care. I have a hard time buying less than 1TB for $100, which I've seen a few times. 320 gb for $90 is just not good enough anymore.

Unfortunately the build quality on my red-wine unit is disappointing. It's cheap and the unit isn't even lining up any more. These XD3s look identical but have aluminium outer shell and rubber protectors around the edge which should be a big improvement.

It ticked all the right boxes for me though - cheap ($85 AUD), fast (eSATA), portable (2.5"). Worth looking at, came with an fake leather pouch and a bunch of cables.]]>Sep 11th 2009 6:49AM
