Uuuhhh.... yeah.... touch my CLIQ!!
I gotta snatch a CLIQ
That was a video? Did the phone even move?
Say what you want to say about Motorola... That D-Pad is hotness! And what a great location for it. Why can't all phones have a USEFUL D-pad? Do you know how hard it is playing nes/snes/genesis emulators without one or with a crappy one? Get it right or don't bother I say.
weak/borderline pointless. I wouldn't consider this a hands-on aside from the fact that it was in a hand.
This was more like someone at school surreptitiously showing you some porn on their phone, and then quickly stashing it back in their pocket.
Can we see the widgets in action? A little later. LOL must be a rough draft
A rotund "NO!" would have been priceless
I wouldn't have been surprised if he had just slapped some of those hands that were getting too close...
"Can we see the widgets in action?"
*SMACK*
"I guess thats a no..."
I'm glad Motorola is finally catching up to other companies, but I don't know if this device will catch any mainstream attention. And that UI looks pretty bad too... too cluttered. I prefer SenseUI!
Morons at MOtorola should just hire all those iPhone hacking nubs to do real work for them...
This shite is worst than the RAZR line
iClap must have the claps....
Agreed Moto Blur looks good but Sense UI looks better. But is the menu button missing?
Hands-on..yes quite literally Engadget..nothing else...just hands...on
This phone is so nice, which is a shock from the spy pics. Ibwould love it but it had to go and leave out wifi or a nice sized internal storage amount. I'm still waiting to get the perfect AAA Android phone. It's getting a bit ridiculous.
It has wifi... It even says so on the official product page: http://www.motorola.com/Consumers/US-EN/Consumer-Product-and-Services/Mobile-Phones/Motorola-CLIQ-US-EN
Oh thanks. Another blog misinformed me. I prefer internal memory to memory cards but that's not a huge deal. This is awesome then.
Blogger in video: "I really, really appreciate this, man. You know, putting your device on the homepage of the most popular gadget site on the internet, and giving you tons of coverage."
Exec with Cliq: "(apathetic) Sure."
Damn you! What processor does it have?!?!?!
http://developer.motorola.com/products/handsets/cliq/
Qualcomm 528MHz. again.
Gah! It's dead to me. Thanks for that though.
Even worse! "VIDEO RECORDING RESOLUTION 320 x 240 (QVGA)" -- from that same developer page.
At least it has a capacitive touch screen.
OR
Dang it! It has a capacitive touch screen!
Depending on which flavor haterade you drink.
Just grab it and run!
Cliq looks really nice, a big step up from the previous design.
If the specs are good and the HTC Touch HD2 isn't coming to the US. I will get this phone unless Sholes or another phone comes along before the 4th Quarter with better specs.
WTF?... That video was totally useless ... less informative than most of the pictures.
"Can we see the widgets in action? A little later" ... What a douche.
"Son of a, bitch!"
Can anyone confirm that this does NOT have a backlit keyboard, as I've heard from insiders?
"A little later."
Well when later?! Seriously, all the hooplah of a big event and for what? Beans... that's for what I tell ya... beans!
look at those man hands with the red nail polish
The first manhand post near the bottom of page one? You guys are slow today!
I think it looks awesome. I'm just thrilled to see another Android phone with a keyboard. Too many of the new ones are touchscreen only and I can't live without a keyboard. I'm perfectly happy with my G1, so I won't be buying this, but I'm all about new Android phones with keyboards!
Nice nails.
Phone looks freaking awesome.
Yikes! Check out the battery drainage from the first slide on through....
Looks like the 1st one is a different unit.
this is the love child of the HTC Touch Pro2 and the Samsung Rogue.
damn that space key is small
Well, it ain't ugly...
Some hate this phone but I do like it more than G1 when it comes to specs !
Just read them at http://www.mwd.com/2009/09/motorola-cliq-motoblur-specifications-and-review/
G1 is nice but Cliq I think will dominate the popularity very soon.
I really did want to like that phone, but it appears to be EXACTLY the same as G1, save for more RAM and ROM, and two less rows of keys on the keyboard.
For me, this one is worse than the G1 and I shall stick with it until another phone with faster processor comes out.
does it have or can control a avatar like in the movie gamer ?
"A little later." wtf wen is later nxt yr. tell him to fuk off
It definitely looks polished... too bad they are being so stingy with the hands on demo though...
great looking phone i think the sholes is still the one to watch for ...but blur actually looks pretty decent
Thank God someone finally got smart and put in dedicated buttons next to the menu for dialer and contacts. I have no idea why that wasn't done before now.
It definitely looks better than the mocups from before... I can live with it
that guy's a class A bellend, 'a little later, DONT TOUCH MY STUFF, WAHHHHHH'
This is why I like open-source OS's that allow manufacturer's to add their own unique thing to it. Motorola was going down in the dumps, but with access to android and the ability to skin an already great OS, it allows companies to release great hardware with great software giving consumers a better selection of phones to buy :). Instead of razr...and krzr...and 50 million different zr's xD
Wow some moto exec was on the rag! geez way to shun your most loyal followers..unbelievable!
