Good enough for anyone just starting to make their home recordings. There's a lot of hating from nit-picky so called "audiophiles". For what it is...is pretty decent. And for those of us who actually do a lot more with their recordings and are comfortable with a lot of professional audio gear, know that you're going to pay well over 100$ for a good system; microphones(that's right...professional style recordings use a lot of microphones not your 20$ computer mic from Best Buy), good cables, monitors, and maybe some plug-ins, etc.

A big benefit of this is that you have flexibility to bring your home recording to another ProTools system whether it be in a professional studio(which is unlikely because your home recording at 100$ is probably unusable) or you're bringing it to your friend who has ProTools to collaborate with.

collectiveego

Comments on M-Audio and Digidesign team up for $99 Pro Tools, hardware bundles

audiophile != Sound Engineer

I have read through most of the comments which seem to be aimed at the crippled software not at the sound quality.
