CM Storm's Sentinel Advance gaming mouse features hardware profiles and OLED display
If you're looking for a mouse that's vaguely militaristic looking and highly customizable, CM Storm's Sentinel Advance should be right up your post-apocalyptic alley. Featuring various sensitivity ranges, rapid fire modes, DPI adjustments, and an editor for different macros and scripts, you can establish five different profiles, store them on the mouse's internal memory, and switch between them on the fly. Sure, this sort of hardware might brand you a "filthy cheater" among some (and they'd be right), but seeing as you're heartless and only concerned with dealing death to your digital enemies, we're guessing you won't lose too much sleep over it. If that weren't enough, this guy boasts Doppler Effect processing, real-time tracking technology (as opposed to software prediction), an OLED display for your clan logo (or picture of your sweetheart) and plenty more. Available now in the UK for £49.99 ($83).

if darth vader ever had to wear a cup...i'm sure it would look like this
it would look like his left testicle is bigger than the right one
Thanks a lot.
You just ruined a cool product. If I bought it, every time I looked at it, I wouldn't say "what a cool mouse", instead I will be thinking "I don't wanna touch that thing".
I guess my search for the perfect gaming mouse will have to continue, unfulfilled, thanks to you and the ugly mental images you have invoked...
And I thought it looked sort of like an F-117. But what do I know.
Yeah while Vader has a foley catheter sticking out.
Why don't they just release a mouse that will play the game for you and be done with it.
lol.
good question. You could make a macro that activates a bot, so the answer is, they already have a mouse that plays the game for you ;)
Mmmm... Very appealing.
For a 9 year old.
Heh heh
Ugh..why do I need a freaking OLED on a mouse?! My hand would be covering it the entire time!
You mean you dont have an eye in your hand? Sheesh.
OLED does seem to be coming out in a lot of gadgets, but I think the more it's used, the cheaper it will get and we will start to get full size HDTVs for less than the current 11" Sony one sooner than we all thought.
I can wish, can't I?
I suppose this redefines 'overkill', get it?
No? Please explain
I have computers with less memory than this thing :(.
Who needs an OLED on a mouse! i dont understand that, I can sort of maybe see the point in a G15 style keyboard, but not on a mouse. you cover it with your hand. Stupid Stupid Stupid.
Wanna shoot that guy over there? there's a macro for that.
Wanna loot all the drops before anyone else can? there's a macro for that too.
In fact, there's a macro for just about anything. Only on the CM Storm.
+1
I'm sooooo hard right now...... it feels like I have a harpoon in my trousers.
i think the point of the lights is to tell you your friggin computer is on.
which button do you press for the sidewinders, and chain-guns.
When does the doppler effect come into using a mouse?
First. Valid. Comment.
Thank you. Answers?
The doppler effect effects light as well as any form of electromagnetic wave. The shift would be unnoticable with the speed at which you move the mouse, though...
This isnt a postbox, tag somewhere else.
There's a freaking section on Engadget profiles that lets you link to your site.
To quote a famous French Poet who recently appeared in a film:
“NICE!”
Iron Mike Tyson
Technically, the mouse is the first mouse with an OLED screen and it sits perfectly in between the index figure and the middle finger that makes it easy to see. It is the first mouse with a twin doppler laser sensor that you can change sensitivity from 100-5600 DPI, in 50 DPI increments and also the first mouse with a Microprocessor that has 64KB. How do I know this? I put my hands on it at quakecon 2009, and I can assure you it is an epic mouse.
Roccat Kone does have a microprocessor, and Roccat Kone is older than this mouse.

DO you mean movie militaristic looking? Because being in the us military myself...we do not create snazzy looking accessories. We just buy them from a store. I know I know I am shattering everyones pereptions of the military. Contrary to popular belief we do not buy high tech mouses and such. We spend a ton on the cheapest stuff we can get our hands on.
where is this for sale in the U.S.???
Here's a guy who tells you all the sweet things the mouse has, and even though he says that the mouse he's showing isn't the complete version, it looks exactly alike.

Engadget, why would someone want to put a picture of their hand displayed their mouse?
I dont get it.
Is the point that one can cheat if winning gets too hard? Ok, but what about the poor sap who just cant cut it - even w/ this gadget?
On another note, this thing in carbon fiber would perfectly match my old Ferrari.
Is it just me or does it seem like a cylon?
I beta tested this. It's pretty nice, one of the most comfortable and precise mice I've used. It's not overkill at all, it costs the same as the G9. It's better though. Also, IT HAS A SCRIPTING ENGINE! If you know basic programming, it allows you to make macros with variables and conditional statements. Overall this is one of the best mice I've ever used.
