I should note that I am not impressed by a lot of things in cinemas. Surround sound really didn't do anything much for me and I have a special hatred for movies that are full of CGI (yes, I'm looking at the likes of "Transformers" and "GI Joe"). However, I will say that I am impressed with IMAX since it fills your view and "removes" you from the cinema. And come on, it's not similar to how the CD improved sound, or MP3 made audio more portable and easily transmitted, and computers are not comparable with typewriters at all of course, but I assume you meant word-processors, but those too added stuff like edibility and later electronic storage and portability.
And they made 7 channel mp3's possible and I bet you aren't using those, even though it's newer than stereo.

I've played hours upon hours of 3D games, such as Aion, Assassin's Creed, Prototype, Bioshock, Burnout Paradise, Fear 2, Far Cry 2, Mass Effect, HL2EP2, Mirror's Edge, Dead Space, and many more. 3D is here, it's not headache inducing and it brings a new level of immersion to your games. Half Life 2: Episode 2, when the ant lion is rushing, gave me an adrenaline rush. Bioshock is actually scary in 3D, too. Trying to describe 3D gaming to someone who hasn't experienced it before is like explaining color TV to someone with a black and white TV. You just don't understand how necessary it is until you've seen it with your own eyes.

One more thing: Forget about the iz3d crap. THAT is headache inducing. If I understand right that the company produces a 14" 120Hz display, I would strongly favor a laptop incorporating that technology for my next purchase, assuming that it isn't stupid expensive. And if that 18.4" panel is full HD, hurry up and slap it into a desktop monitor, for chrissake. Seriously, I don't care what you think. If you are OK being ripped off for 3D then that's fine by me. If I can get the same thing in 2D for less money then I'm happy since I'll have exactly the same experience.
