It's too cluttered and I like having a one track mind at times where I select an app and receive the data I look to obtain. Having all of that on one screen looks more confusing than helpful, especially because nothing really differentiates the info panels from one another besides the slim color tab. They should make each info bar it's own color instead.

Anthony

Comments on Larva Labs proposes 'intelligent' Android home screen

Isn't Android open source... which means they can roll their own, instead of waiting for someone to do it? I dunno, sell the skin in the Android market. It's not for everyone, but if it's just as revolutionary as they claim, some people will buy it. I've seen skins for WinMo being sold for some time, I don't see why they can't go that route.

xtasi

Comments on Larva Labs proposes 'intelligent' Android home screen

It may look like Win Mo (Zune too) but it isn't. There was never much wrong with win mo's UI design, it was more functionality that got on my nerves and led me to a BB. I love information all in one place, it certainly beats the current method of application bouncing that drives me insane on my iphone and BB. Keep it up, make it better, Zune font it, and release it.

Chris

Comments on Larva Labs proposes 'intelligent' Android home screen

That actually looks really confusing. It's simply too much. It looks nice no doubt but it's completely over the top. I'm still liking Nokia's homecreens much better; 4 rows for live update apps, 1 for apps, 1 for time/date/status. It's simple, elegant and gives just enough info without overwhelming and is much more suited for how mobiles are used. A quick glance and you know what's up. This Android screen overwhelms too completely.

Looks nice though.

cow

Comments on Larva Labs proposes 'intelligent' Android home screen

With all due respect to Larva Labs I think the current Android interface is way better than a silly color coded list...

fdisk

Comments on Larva Labs proposes 'intelligent' Android home screen

Now if they'd just employ a trained usability engineer to go with their over enthusiatic graphic designer.
