It's the same with the memory cards, for example. They could easily use MicroSD for all their phones, but they insist on M2.

My guess for not using 3.5mm jacks on most of their phones (besides for selling products like this one) is that they don't want the phones to be in competition with the Sony Walkman mp3 players and their super expensive phones. So they sell medium priced phones, but if you really want to have a 3.5mm jack on your device you either have to buy a separate Walkman or a top of the line SE phone.
At least that's what SE would like you to do. I'd rather just buy a cheap Samsung or Nokia with a 3.5mm jack..

ibelike

Comments on Sony Ericsson's motion activated MH907 headset could change things forever (update: or not)

SONY=FAIL

Reznov

Comments on Sony Ericsson's motion activated MH907 headset could change things forever (update: or not)

i know, right? i cant read your comment on my sony vaio unless i tilt the screen so it points over my head

redleader158

Comments on Sony Ericsson's motion activated MH907 headset could change things forever (update: or not)

If you can't skip forward it's just another design fail.

Rzah

Comments on Sony Ericsson's motion activated MH907 headset could change things forever (update: or not)

All SE phones allow one to skip forward and back using the volume keys.
