Is Sony trying to be generous or are these bastards taking the piss with consumer again. They could have implemented accessory backwards compatibility in the unit from the get-go. Even though they went "this route," why is the converter so ugly, it really doesn't fit with the image Sony was pushing on the PSP GO.
Really, people are better off without a PSP Go, the benefits of the 2000/3000 outweigh those of the Go. If people stick with or buy the older PSPs, they aren't losing anything but Bluetooth and PSP mini support. And if anyone should be so daft as to purchase a PSP Go, just buy the new accessories already, you were already suckered into paying a "premium" (quoted from Sony) for something that isn't worth it's price tag (they would've bought the new accessories with anyone's say-so anyhow). Sony knows this, so I'm guessing they're counting on consumer ignorance to push sales for this converter.
By the way Engadget, please don't refer to the PSP 2000/3000 as "last-gen" when compared with the PSP Go, it's illogical, especially since this is the gaming industry. The PSP Go is not a successor to the PSP, that is the PSP2. The Go is nothing but a repackaged PSP with a added feature, Sony's version of the DSi if you will. I mean, you don't consider a 60GB PS3 "last-gen" compared to a 250GB PS3 Slim do you? No right? Okay then.

Peter R.

Comments on PSP Go Converter gives you a more well-rounded portable with support for last-gen's peripherals

SONY, is definitely stupid.
