A) I think you mean Justin Long
B) This wasn't shot by the remixer. It was remixed. Meaning he used existing footage from the Microsoft commercial.
C) Weird. Lots of filmmakers use Final Cut (a program for mac) to edit their films. Lots of writers use Final Draft, screenwriting software for the mac. Some of these people even end up behind a camera to make movies that gross millions of dollars!

I do agree that the remix is pretty horrible, as is the commercial. Almost all of the marketing material coming out of Redmond lately is pretty horrible though. But I think that's the point: get people talking about how horrible it is and keep people talking about Windows. Not sure how effective it will be, I guess time will tell.

Anyway, can we please stop making broad characterizations about a group of people based on things as silly as what operating system they use? Because really, this is what you sound like, just a little sillier:

Of course they will, this is common sense - they have no choice but to move to the next OS. Think about it, XP is almost a decade old! The fact that they didn't do this with Vista just shows what a dismal OS Vista was. Where I work they didn't move everyone over to XP until about 2003. With Vista, the IT department said they would "never" upgrade to Vista. But eventually they will have to upgrade, even if it is just because that is what the PCs (which are replaced every three years) ship with.
So yes, it is common sense that they will move away from XP to Win7. Or 8.
