For instance, the Motorola Q9. There's the Motorola Q9M, which is the version that Verizon tampered with and has VCast. The VZ store also sells the Motorola Q9C, which is the Q9 stock, with no extras from Verizon (and nothing tampered with, either).

Why would you not just go ahead with Sprint if you want the Pre? Sprint is cheaper, and in 90% of everwhere, Sprint will roam on Verizon's network. There's even a simple script you can change in the Pre that allows you to "force roaming" so that the Pre always stays on the Verizon network ... not sure why you'd want to do that unless you happened to live in a crappy area that the Sprint signal was low but the Verizon signal was great.

Anyway, if you want a Pre, I think Sprint is the network you'd want anyway. That is so "last year". VZW seems to have finally seen the light; the latest phones are showing up with Wifi and GPS fully operational.

i really want to see it on at&t, than the phone will truly shine in multitasking, with 3G send emails,surf the internet while on a phone call, that's true multitasking. you can tether the phone and still make phone calls, can verizon do that NO!, can sprint do that NO!

i forgot they have a couple of HTC phones now, but how many people actually are using these phones on verizon. because i don't know anyone that has a really cool verizon phone, ( liek the ones you mentioned) that they actually use for more than just email.

i'm not trying to sound ignorant, but the only verizon people i know here in NYC have either a blackberry for business because their company pays for it or a regular verizon phone just to make phone calls. everytime i see someone with a verizon phone the first thing i ask is how is the internet on that phone and speeds, their response "oh i don't have data on it."
