I've ordered one of these for the garage though where I don't have an existing stereo system to connect into and the mono aspect won't be a problem. Sure, the boom offers similar features, but I want to replace my bedside radio with something that will usually have headphones (actually a pillow speaker) hooked up to it.  The boom can do this, but I'd be paying $100 more for speakers I wouldn't use anyway. Perfect! Are you trying to show everybody how cool your taste in music is? The chumby "One" looks smaller, though... I don't think they've announced anything about a battery, but I'd be surprised if it didn't have at least support for one (since that's something lots of people have expressed interest in).
