In extreme conditions you might lose a toe or some fingers to frost bite. I guess battery heat has it's application in these conditions. That's my point. Normally, some place is colder than other when it's further from the line of equator, not because of the hemisphere they're at.

I don't think people in Panama, which is in the northern hemisphere, gets chilli weather.

The Southern hemisphere as there winter at a different time of year.
