They are, IMHO, always behind on technology by 1 or 2 years, like how the original iPhone had no 3G, just EDGE. I feel Sony is the opposite, they are usually the forefront of bringing new technology to the consumers, and are also very high quality but they don't have much appeal due to price (New tech is always expensive, but someone has to introduce it).
