If you mean photoshop and the like... yeah, i guess it's not the best machine for that but, then again, if you're buying this for that sort of work you're not a very bright consumer.
For everything else it should be more than enough. I definitely hope to see more and more low cost options enter the market, as it will eventually drive the cost of the higher end hardware to a more consumer level.
