Even without any nice htc sense, blur, or rachel interfaces, xda dev's WILL find a way to get all this stuff over to this phone, and with a strong processor, this thing is gona run sense ui better than the original phones like the hero. So this thing is definitely special...

From what I can tell, my guess is a S3C6410. This would coninside with other Samsung Phones which have recently come to market with other carriers and OSs.

When discussing the processor on #android earlier, I was told "That's "up to 800MHz" -- it varies quite a bit how fast people choose to run it because there's a nonlinear power tradeoff at higher clock rates. It's not uncommon for the clock rate to be continually adjusted during runtime. Again, it's all about power management."

The short of it is, charging port on my BB died. Sprint store says I must go through insurance, they won't even look at it to see if it can be repaired. Deducible went up to $100. Which fine, if I lost it w/e. I don't get why I pay $7 for repair + replace when the only option is "replace".

The store associates kept trying to blow me off and were incredibly rude. Their only solution was to show me a chart of the money I save remaining with Sprint.

Sprint phone and online support refer me to the store, RIM and Assurion (insurance provider?) I asked if they could even give me a $25 service credit to cover the increased deductible. They told me to haggle with Assurion.

I get all the policies, I am fine with them. Its just the fact they really don't seem to care if you remain with them or not. This is the third phone that I have had break in the duration of the contract and the third time I've been told its up to me to work it out.

DUDE... if you think the service was bad.... well, that call center WAS HELL. Non-stop back to back calls, you can't use the bathroom while out of lunch as it reduced your overall availability... freaking low wages....

I think Customer Service is the HARDEST profession of them all. Some people can be such a pain that they mess you up for the whole day. It is really impossible to not to make it personal. I really understand customer service agents. They are under a lot of pressure. some have to keep calls under certain amount of time - really stressful.

I think to improve Customer Service as a whole, they need to eliminate all those pressures on agents so they can really focus on teh customer and avoid so much red tape.

For starters, there aren't really any 4G towers online in the US yet, so nobody's putting 4G chips into their phones since they can't use them as a selling point. I'd say it will probably be a year or two before we start seeing manufacturers really start adopting 4G in the US

Likewise, retail available MicroSD cards currently top out at 16GB. So no manufacturers are going to the extra expense of creating a MicroSD slot that will support 64GB that they can't actually market as a feature. Flash memory doubles in capacity about every 12 months, so we're still about 2 years away from 64GB MicroSD cards available at retail.

1GHz ARM CPUs and AMOLED screens are fairly new features. They cost more and they present new engineering challenges to the manufacturer. Since manufacturers generally try to keep their price below around $200-$250 with contract, they're limited in their ability to implement these features at their current prices unless the carrier is willing to throw in a heftier than usual subsidy. Since both these technologies are already on the market, I'd say give it about 6-12 months for prices to come down to a level where more manufacturers are ready to start picking them up.

I don't understand how they can forgo multi-touch if Microsoft has it on their smart phones as well. Is it really still a patent issue?

1Ghz would be nice; however, the speed I want is just so the phone will operate smoothly. I've read a lot of the HTC android products being rather sluggish when you've got a couple things running in the background.
