XDA is the largest bastion of WinMo nerd-dom in the world. Customers and the market in general seriously do not care for having to dive through the landfill of forums, menus and sub-menus to find what they want; only nerds do that. But at the same time, the more successful XDA is then the bigger the barrier for a WinMo App Store to succeed, thus destroying any viable means for developers to make money in the platform. Users just go get what they want for free instead of choosing to shop in the App Store. Ultimately that discourages devs from producing in the platform and migrating to alternative platforms (Apple App Store, Pre App Store) that reward the production of high quality apps with customers willing to pay for them. Same story goes with crappy DRM on this WinMo App Store.

I_Love_Microsoft

Comments on Dev finds Windows Marketplace DRM severely lacking, easily circumventable

@macjonny yeah just what a want!
