You get a bigger display and maybe a larger battery as a result. Look rather heavy duty and as long as it's functional, all well and good. I just don't like that it uses MicroShyte WinMoan, but I guess if that's want you want then more power to ya.

I'm wondering if there is such a thing as an optimum size for cellphone devices. Some sort of ergonomic sweet spot. I'd have no problem carrying the HD2 as long as it did everything I needed it to do well. Due to the very short camera exposure time the resulting image will be too bright and lack any darker details. You can clearly see that the HTC screen doesn't look great either, it has low contrast and washed-out blacks. I'm sure the iPod screen was set at a higher brightness. These pictures are only good for size comparisons, for screen comparisons they are awful. Of course they did not do this to make Apple look bad but just because they didn't bother (they are only meant for size comparison anyway) or because they didn't know better.

But whom am I telling, since you believe that is what the iPhone screen looks like you probably never even have held one in your own hands. It means that the image quality will generally be better. There's no need to moan about 'camera angles' and 'default settings' just because someone points out that it looks a lot better - which it does - and when they then accuse someone of 'omg liek uv never held an iPone!1!' because they point out that newer products might actually, you know, use better and more modern parts - like screens - they deserve to be told to STFU.

And to clear things up further, when someone else then then whines about me commenting on comparing the size of the phone in a thread that has nothing to do with that since it's about the perceived screen quality they deserve to be mocked.

Am I being sufficiently clear now. Now there seems to be a lot of blind love for Android even though, really, it hasn't proven to be above and beyond the competition at all.
