I think 3D is the next step, just like color before it and sound before it.

2) You can display color on a flat surface

3) You can display HD resolution (or anything higher) on a flat surface

I think 3D is a gimmick. I'm not dropping money on an unsupported, and unperfected technology when HDTV is more than adequate for me. 120 Hz display: better and more fluid.

Every 120hz television I've seen looks like crap. I can't stand the trumotion and smoothmotion engines they use.

All I care about is 1080/24p televisions. My LCD can output in 1080/24p mode and I believe it looks superior to any 120hz or 60hz displays.

Movies only have 24 frames of data. Interpolating images and frames to up-sample to more Hz just makes the image look unnatural and bad. As for SirMasterBoy's comments, that's just preference. Personally, I love the added frames.

YES YOU CAN! Glasses still required though. Nvidia has made this tech available for years.
