They both have SOME games that run at native 1080p, but if you look at those lists none of those games they are mostly games with low graphical detail. The big blockbuster games that sell consoles like Gears of War, Halo, Uncharted, Little Big Planet, and Modern Warfare are all too demanding for 1080p on either console. Sony put so much weight at the PS3 pushing 1080p games when it launched. But here we are 3 years later and games like Uncharted 2 from Sony's own studios can't even render in 1080p. Microsoft isn't doing to well with it's 640p halo 3 either. What good is it if developers can't use it? Sony promised us 1080p games when it launched the PS3. If in 3 years Sony starts delivering games like Uncharted 2 in 1080p because they finally figured out how to "tap into" the cell, then that's 6 years of broken promises.

Even wipeout HD doesn't actually run in 1080p all the time. They actually used a pretty clever trick that I wish more developers would use.

Its up to the developers to utilize the hardware and get proficient with the software, if Sony held everyones hand to get the highest resolution, we wouldnt have as many good games as we do. Yea, what you say is true, but Sony put a huge emphasis on their console being the "only console with 1080p" to market the ps3. Sony promised us 1080p Ps3 games. Yea, it's up to each developer to utilize the hardware, but Naughty Dog is sony's own studio, and they can't even get 1080p out of it. Don't get me wrong, I'm not bashing the ps3 because of something as silly as resolution. Both consoles have given us some fantastic games. You just seem right now to try to be bashing the ps3. I'm not trying to argue here, but it's plain and simple. The ps3 is more powerful. Killzone 2 , MGS4, and Uncharted 2 ( which many reviewers said the best visuals they have ever seen in a video game) are just 3 justifications of that power. Am I saying that Xbox 360 is weak? Hell no. I am just saying that once developers learn how to make their games utilize this power, you will see the difference just like in these three.
