My set up is actually a stand I made from PETG but pretty much is the same as the paper clip idea, with a BrookStone 110-220 to USB adapter and a USB extension cable paired with a spare apple sync cable. All together its the best alarm I have ever had. I think I'll be doing the same thing. A speaker dock + Night Stand would be great. I wonder if they work seamlessly with JBL OnStage IIIp. So when your alarm is going off, all you have to do it wave your hand over the thing and it snoozes.
