Its not like they are saving a lot in materials which could be passed on to the consumer as a lower priced product.  So you have a dual bay or single bay product with pretty similar price points which probably aren't much lower than the 4 bay TS-410 again because of the same logic board in a smaller case. It has a USB and eSATA port on the back, which I use to create a mirrored copy about once a week. I'm not accessing it enough to warrant RAID support, just need a weekly image or so. The best part of the TS-101 is that it's fanless, which makes it perfect to sit under my TV and serve up media. Things tend to go downhill from there. I want to get one but I want to know what you guys think is the best. Any suggestions would be appreciated.<br><br>Right now I'm leaning towards the diskless ReadyNas, but does netgear suck? Why is the Synology one so expensive? Is QNAP the decided leader in this space? Please let me know.
