Only now, after almost daily use, has the MP3 player started to show that the battery isn't holding a charge like it should.

When it comes to getting a basic BD player for the wife and kids who will probably never have use for profile 2.0 but *will* be able to use our Netflix account, that $150 box will work beautifully. I've always bought brand.

That changed with my most recent big screen TV purchase.

I bought a 42in Insignia. I was cruising Consumer Reports' website and was surprised to see that the Insignia was their top recommendation in the 42in class. Having always bought brand names, I commenced to doing research online. What I eventually was able to uncover was that the TV in question was essentially a rebranded LG. What Best Buy and other companies do with their inhouse brands is contract with company that purchases the "left over parts" from "last years" models of brand names and then put them together and stick their own label on them. It just so happened that the 42in Insignia was nearly all LG. The parts almost all came for LG's "leftovers." The TV has, thus far, worked great for me, and at an incredible price reduction.

Now, I don't know what parts make up this BR player, but I intend to try and find out...but for 99 bucks...this may be the perfect entry level player regardless...

Tesche

Comments on Netflix, Best Buy deal brings Watch Instantly streaming to even cheaper Blu-ray players

I picked this one up for $200 this week, it works great in all honesty. I used to work for Best Buy a few years ago and I never had any negative feedback on the Insignia brand anymore than I would about any others in similar products. The Netflix firmware that was released today works great. For $200 with the new Transformers BR for $5 (not that I like the movie, my wife does) it's a steal. I now have the Netflix instant on my 360 downstairs and now this new BR player in the bedroom for Netflix there as well.

I highly recommend it, it looks, feels and performs like a solid machine with my experience so far.

Dan
