The Droid will do more simply because it is open. It doesn't mean Apple sucks, it just means that Android allows its users to do what they want on their devices. Apple doesn't. This is fact. Jailbreaking isn't really a counterargument either, as you have to modify the iPhone to an unsupported state to get it to do what you want. You can't called the Jailbroken functionality a feature of the iPhone, as it isn't there by default. Period.

But above even all of this, the iPhone is irrelevant altogether in the face of Android. Google is here to squash Microsoft out of the mobile market, end of story. They don't care about anyone else. By the time Microsoft is marginalized to the tiniest slice of the cake, Google will have pushed its rich web applications to nearly every phone on the planet, running Android or not. When they do, Microsoft will have a choice. Suck it up and adopt these applications, or go proprietary and fail. No doubt they'll choose the latter.

Google doesn't care about the iPhone. OSX will remain on its little iPhone island while Android propagates to nearly every mid-high end phone on the planet, and the iPhone will still be running Google's applications anyway.

KuroMiko

Comments on Verizon hosting Droid event on October 28

How do you get an invitation?

Richard
