Yes, the technology is cool, and it's clever too. But here in the West (and soon Japan), we're getting fatter and fatter and more and more people are getting diabetes, yet we're still seeking alternatives to our legs even for relatively short journeys. Secondly, we're supposed to be reducing our carbon footprint, so if we're going to replace our legs with something that uses electricity, we're making things even worse, right?
