Don't want to pay a cell phone carrier for bandwidth to stream the service... This was a great alternative to XM. Never had any problems with the device in the 6 months I've owned it. But I can't honestly say I'm surprised by this. I'm sure they're seeing more business from their mobile apps than they ever could have seen with dedicated hardware. Once the Android app is released, I honeslty don't know how much I'll carry the G1 around anymore, since I'll be able to carry one device instead of two. That one device being my other G1, of course...confusing. :-)

ryaninc

Comments on Slacker phases out hardware business, focuses on other devices

They should bring Slacker Radio as an application for the Zune HD.

Anticrawl

Comments on Slacker phases out hardware business, focuses on other devices

I love my Slacker G1 and have worked hard to get it to successfully sync under Linux. I've been waiting for the G2 to drop in price to get it, I guess I'll get my chance now. Too bad they are getting out of the hardware business!
