The Apple Stores are established already. Helping MS's stores establish themselves from day one is very valuable experience and really helps you advance your career as a store manager.<br><br>Besides, I think Steve Jobs said that even he was a little creeped out by the Apple fanboys. Their benefits for the campus employees are astonishing (free grocery delivery, transit to work, childcare, discounts on efficient cars/bikes, extension of benefits to gay people, exercise trails...) and it's a somewhat friendly place. Obviously, employees at a retail store won't be treated as well, but one would still expect better compensation than with Apple. Apple is far more controlling of their employees, and demands a somewhat crazy amount of secrecy and perfection. Apple found a good retail model and someone copied it. Just like Apple copied many of their idea for the Mac from Xerox.<br><br>This isn't news.<br><br>(For the record... I own four Macs. The Sony Store was much darker, smaller, uninviting and rarely had more than a handful of people in it.
