They just kept jacking around and jacking around and not releasing the phone. I am through waiting. I am going to get me an HTC Android when they hit soon. Bet they'll be out before this one and they just announced it recently too. The interface is extremely limited, and quite laggy. I also replaced the keyboard - which is decent but laggy and lacking features - with TouchPal.

Hardware-wise, the Omnia II is excellent. Fast, well built, good camera (especially having a proper 2-stage hardware shutter button to hold focus). But pretty much everything Samsung put into it software-wise is a letdown.

Luckily, it's Windows Mobile, so users can actually make choices with how they want it to run ;)

Carl @ hardcoreware.net

Comments on Samsung Omnia II gets broken down, screenshot by screenshot

Carl.....I doubt that you have a pre production unit of the Omnia2. If you had you would have brought up other features that are still unannounced. Remember that non-discloser agreament that you would have signed to get it or did yours not come with one. I really liked the hardware, and I seem to be one of the few who don't have any problems with WinMo, but TouchWiz gets old really quickly; it looks nice and all but it's not the most efficient way of getting things done, and many of the widgets were/are too small for their own good, not useful, or were things that someone would always want on a homescreen by default (like the calendar or the clock). I don't knock them for giving us options though. Regardless of that, I got tired of waiting too and got an Imagio two weeks ago. Though I still have 12 more days to return the phone, I don't plan on doing so. I've been waiting on Samsung and Verizon to release the Omnia II since June, and now I'm done waiting.

JDubbs115
