Most TV's have sd card slots, just buy a card and use that.  Or buy the HDMI cable to go from player to TV directly.  It has a single use. Seems a little overdone to me.  I like the Apple Frontrow + Western Dig NAS + 802.11n solution i have set up.  Works fine for me.  I'm sure this could translate well for a person with windows media center as well.  I didn't have much luck with the 802.11n USB adapters, so if anyone tries that...stay away from those. A media streamer does this and much more, such as the WD Live. HOWEVER many of these streaming solutions are for the technologically savvy, so if a simple solution that has great software it might work.
