Personaly i prefer the normal DS (kinda large yes)... The only reason i would buy an other DS is if its broken, which will never happen ;D Some of my friends bought DS Lite because they didn't even buy the normal DS, so why not getting the newest while its on market ? I got an other friend that bought the DSi because his DS was broken (when you can make a 360* round with your screen, its broken). But i got my DS falling on floor (even street floors) about 5 times and it was never broken, see how a DS Lite can be pretty easy to break. An other of my friend got his top screen frozen (on the DS Lite), if he doesn't press on L, his screen turns white. What a nice way to play New Super Mario Bros against someone >.>

I also don't like this insane milking of the DS by releasing so many variants of it. They were doing the right thing when they made the GBASP because it brought some useful new features and it wasn't too expensive. Plus, it provided no major features over the first GBA so people who didn't want to "upgrade" didn't have to. The DS Lite was also welcome because it slimmed down the DS (the first one was unfathomably bulky) and had a new hinge that wasn't prone to breaking. I think the DSi is kind of awkward where it is right now. It definitely doesn't have enough new stuff to be considered a successor to the DS Lite, so they still sell both. At the same time, because they have added new features at all, as well as given it it's own games, that still makes it an upgrade of sorts that you will need to play those games. One thing I guess I like about this XL is that it doesn't add another useless feature that means it gets exclusive software. But still, the DSi was pretty unnecessary.
