Its a DEVELOPER machine, for crying out loud!

I have one also, and you know what? Its getting a *LOT* of use.. you know why? Because I'm a DEVELOPER and have my code running on it .. and guess what, its my favourite thing to run my apps on, out of a suite of gadgets: iPhones, Android devices, Wiz, Touchbook. The reason? The Zii Egg is a very comfortable, powerful device.

But its only for DEVELOPERS right now. If you get excited about your piece of code running on a cute little device, then all power to you. But I have programmed on developer devices before, including Google dev phone, but Zii Egg is a freaking nightmare. SO I gave up. You can't even get access to low level code to fix things. The touch screen is so inaccurate that you would know if its your code or the driver causing problem. Mariad of problems with Audio, Video drivers, Screen Freeze, device lock and so on. Developer edition doesn't mean it has to be crappy. Just look at other dev edition devices before you defend Zii Egg. And BTW keep your puppy, while I move on to better options coz this device has zero chance to be out or successful....

sk

Comments on Zii MediaBook UI video explains very little

You're not a very good developer if you can't get audio, video, or pointer working on the Zii Egg with Plaszma by now .. in fact, you'd have to be a pretty poor one ..

BTW, G1 DEV phone was really crap to code for in its first release, too .. and now with todays new version of Plaszma OS Firmware release, things are going very smoothly on the Zii Egg.

Jay Vaughan

Comments on Zii MediaBook UI video explains very little

http://www.ekshoe.com
jordan air max oakland raiders $34--39;
Christan Audigier BIKINI JACKET $25;

coach chanel gucci LV handbags $36;
coogi DG edhardy gucci t-shirts $18;
christian louboutin $80
http://www.ekshoe.com

linleilin

Comments on Zii MediaBook UI video explains very little

Anyone else see this and think "Crunchpad" ?

charlie
