Uh I think the flagship is the droid, thanks.

Look at the page!
Looks kinda thick.
... and yes, that's what she said.
just an another Android phone meh :|
I love Android's approach to mobile, but the UI is horrible compared to iPhone/webOS. It's like Window's Mobile (if WM were more stable) mixed with iPhone tropes and a dash of PalmOS 5.
Also, a task manager for my mobile? We've just brought one of worst parts of desktop computing to the new world.

@Gibson
I'm actually quite fond of Android, and completely prefer it to the iPhone's OS. Of course, I can understand why some people like the simplicity of it all, but for some reason Android's OS just seems more engaging to me.
I guess you could compare it to people who prefer driving automatic vs. a manual because they think that a manual requires too much effort, while many car enthusiasts would say that driving a car with all four limbs just makes it all the more entertaining, not to mention involving.
But of course, each person is entitled to his or her own opinion =]
Thankfully we have enough mobile OS'es to keep us all happy, or so I would hope
@joaker: Apparently, "she" likes it big and she likes it black.
Its unfair...all women want big, black phones these days. What about us smaller phones? You can still have a good time with us. We may not have huge fancy keyboards and millions of apps in the memory bank, but gosh darnit we know how to work with our limited resources. That big, black phone might look great and all your friends might be jealous of you because you have one, but we smaller phones have more stamina and we'll last longer than he can. And what's the point of having the internet if you're on a network like AT&T. Because as much as you want him to, he'll never get you to where you want go. And, let's face it, the main purpose of a phone is to talk to people. So pick me up, pull out my antenna and let your mouth do what it was made for.
That is all the phone-based innuendo I could come up with without getting overly overt.
would that even fit in your pocket? damn.
THAT is what she said...
I have enough bulge in my pants, thank you very much.
remove the hygenic pads from your underwear and insert phone
Thats what she said?
Um, yeah. As pointed out the other day, they didn't just "sample" HTC's Sense - they straight up ganked that bitch. Holy cow. Are they still denying it or are they going to give credit?
Looks like someone also took the first Droid prototype maybe that bitch is thick
In a previous article, they said Saygus told them that the buttons/extra home screens were standard in the Android repository. Whether that's true or not, I couldn't tell you. If it is, I'm not sure why they're not implemented more. At the very least, the extra home screens part.
it's consistent with this phone's general design theme of imitation. i mean why stop at the UI?
huh? How the hell can they release that phone if they copy the sense ui? (see the app drawer)
That looks nasty, It's not nice looking, and from the looks of it, It's unbearably slow.
P.S And the UI is a total KIRF
It's KIRFtastic!
I can't see how Verizon will allow this phone on their network.
They don't have to.

"Hrrmfh hrrmfh hrrrmfffhrr hrrrmfrr hrrmrfh"
Exactly what I think of this phone. great vid!
Copy-cat! Get a life and make up your own skin instead of just copy-and-pasting HTC Sense.
Pass
Wow, you people are morons who don't read. Go read the previous article on this phone, it says that the app drawer buttons at the bottom are part of the standard Android repository. HTC is just the only ones who have used it so far.
PS, according to Saygus, from a video on Gearlog with the CTO, the video conferencing that they're touting will work on EDGE. Chunky or not, that's worth buying the phone right there. And the massive keyboard ain't too shabby either.
EDGE? I thought this was a CDMA phone. Did you mean EVDO?
Maybe next time get some footage of the one feature that makes this phone even tolerable: Video Calling.
I can only wait for video calling to become the standard that it is in other countries. Especially if it is a standard h.323 compatible video call.
Holy Crap that notification bar was really laggy!
Windows Mobile Android still childish, or should I say immature.
What is Windows Mobile Android?
I think it would have been more impressive if Verizon if they would have done like Softbank/Docomo and released all these phones at one time. They asked for the spotlight and these phones look pitiful.
"Is that a Saygus VPhone in your pocket or are you just happy to see me?"
Looks like Saygus may be stealing Sense UI stylings but HTC from 2005 called and wants their form factor back.
Looks good to me, who cares if its a copy of the Sense UI ?
I think its better that it actually isn't Sense (because of incompatibilities, easier to upgrade to later versions of android), but actually got the good parts of it -- I do like that launcher, and the 7 screens and how you can tell on which screen you are.
I am seeing that it sports the following processor: Marvell PXA 310, 624MHz
I have no idea how good that architecture is, but I REALLY doubt it can compete with the droids ... at least its got plenty of RAM :)
Oh, and it actually looks like they got the keyboard right, unlike with the droid. Droid + this keyboard would be perfect!
Really nice spaced and not flat. And a smaller d-pad to make room for other keys. Oh, and no dummy keys at all! Looks promising!
I expect this to be a rather (much!) cheaper phone than the droid, of course.
I don't think this phone brings enough to the table to be a success. It's a one-trick pony...and an ugly one at that.
i see the /? keys are doubled on the device here too. Is there some kind of function to that which I am missing?
the power control widget got changed to 3x1 from 4x1. i like it
That keyboard looks a lot nicer than the Droid's keyboard!
Looks like I have my new phone in sight...
That’s a horrible display of technology. They have copied the 'sense' from HTC. The winmo 6.5 with the HTC products are the most desirable touchphones made ever.
