Don't get me wrong, I appreciate that a lot of work would have gone into building the emulator software, but it's like having been shown something in a shop window, knowing it's exactly what you want but you can't buy it.

Personally, if something like this was released it'd be one of the reasons why I would consider getting a PSP-GO. I love my PSP running custom firmware. The homebrew stuff is pretty good, and emulation is nifty, too.

If they opened up the PSPGo, I'd get one, because it's smaller and lighter and would work slightly better as an on-the-go PMP. However, until they get custom firmware on the Go, I consider it a waste of time and money. Sony's prices for PSP games in digital format is downright INSULTING when you shop around and see the same games on UMD for less than half what Sony's asking, and as long as the PSPGo is locked into that scheme, it's a crappy console.

Unless you're the kind of person who LIKES spending more for the same game with no packaging, no manual, and no ability to resell it.

Games purchased in digital format should be lower priced. Amazon makes books for the Kindle lower priced than their hard-copy versions, so why is Sony being so rotten when pricing their digital content?

And MS isn't off the hook, either. It sucks to see an Xbox 360 game on the Marketplace for more than I can get it for new, from Best Buy.

If these companies want to switch to digital content, they need to make it attractive, like Steam does. Lower prices, great sales, and less draconian DRM (Check online once a month? Cool. Check online every day? NOT COOL.)
