Sony's 2010/2011 OLED and flagship XBR series LCD roadmap leaked?
Ready to dig deep, really deep, for a tiny but magnificent OLED television? You'd better be 'cause some purportedly leaked Sony documents are showing a new "KDL-ZX Series OLED" on the 2010 / 2011 roadmap. All the sets are listed as prototypes so they may or may not make it to market for retail. But with Sony's two year old, 11-inch XEL-1 OLED TV now dwarfed by LG's new 15-inch OLED TV and a 20-incher promised for 2010, well, we expect Sony will want to regain its leadership in the new year. The docs also show updates to Sony's flagship XBR series with the XBR11 LED W-backlit LCD and XBR12 Advanced LED RGB-backlit LCD sets coming in sizes from 32- to 60-inches featuring 240Hz Motionflow, a new Bravia Engine 3 PRO with HD Video processor, and UV2A panel technology. Unfortunately, some of the XBR information (the most important, presumably) is blacked-out and we're only looking at 2 of what appear to be 24 pages of leaked content. Boy would we love to peak behind that curtain. XBR11 spec sheet on display after the break.

"New EMO™ brand The Edge Motion™ speaker."
Oh yay! I've always wondered how my favorite TV shows would sound if they were emo!
I see a hockey mask! This is like a really geeky game of "Where's Waldo."
These speakers probably bring all sounds down about half a pitch.
One half a note, excuse me.
@Backlin Isn't that just a semitone?
It could all be fairytales though, like… you know – make believe.
GROAN so you don't have to.
15 inches doesn't dwarf 11 inches, they are all in the same small category
that's not what the ladies think
Size matters not. Just me by my SIZE, do you?
Looks like these are the first sets to use the new panels from the joint venture between Sharp and Sony.
The best news is that there's a new RGB LED backlit model in the pipe. OLED TV is still a few years away before it becomes cheap enough or large enough to make most people consider buying one.
I wonder if the blacked out sections are about 3D technology or wireless HD (like the XBR10 has)?
I was hoping they'd move RGB LED into the mid-range, actually. Well, if that's not happening, I hope at least they'd have more sizes for the XBR 12.
doh... why couldn't they release those sets this year, when I'm ripping myself for new tv, which would be old next year.
New HD triple tuner? So you can watch the crap times three, and in HD?
And no netflix, no hulu, no vudu? Sony, if you want to make me believe that I want this set...pay me.
I can't see them not having netflix, since it's about to be released Nov on all of the Net connected Bravia models.
Damn just when I was getting ready to get that RGB XBR8,.they leak the XBR12! Could it really look more beautiful?
Let's hope uv2a can be Sony's saving grace.
