Please continue to support the idea that the iPhone gets "special exceptions" because Engadget doesn't do software posts when that clearly isn't true. Just remember that when you downrank me rather than providing a counter argument, that means you are unable to counter anything I've said. So I see every downrank as proof that I've once again made a bulletproof point that nobody can counter.

I do think it's funny that people will actually support intensely stupid comments like the quoted one above simply because I'm pointing out how stupid it is. Instead of, you know, looking at it and realizing how dumb it is to say something like that.

Isn't the poor quality of some apps what you were complaining about? Why aren't you complaining about that exact same thing on the Windows side? You do understand that nobody is forcing you to buy bad apps for the iPhone, right? And that there are also a lot of really good apps for the iPhone?

What exactly are you complaining about? The fact that Apple approves them has nothing to do with anything, much in the same way that Microsoft NOT approving them has nothing to do with anything. Just like Microsoft, Apple is trying to make the most apps available that they can. There is a serious double standard going on here:

Either it's ok to have a lot of apps for your platform, including bad ones, or it isn't. Which is it?
