Really?? I've tried it out and found the GO's analog to be much better/more comfortable for fine control than the original psp. Now, if you're sure you're going to spend $50 on PSN purchases in the near future, I think this is 100% worth the offer. If you consider this a $200 product (assuming you'd be spending that $50 on games in a short-ish amount of time), then it's an great piece of hardware for that price, and contrary to what others think, it's my opinion that it not only travels well, but also plays very well.

However, at this point, I'm not going to bother puchasing a PSP until the next version, which better offer the following things:

1) Touchscreen - in 2009, touchscreen controls have huge benefits over buttons in specific scenarios (note, not ALL scenarios).
2) Dual joysticks (hopefully less recessed this time around)
3) Rumble support (if a phone can have it, why can't a PSP!?)
4) OLED screen - Sony's got the fabs, put them to work!

Love hearing talk about new PSPs can seeing results like the PSP Go, however, with such a high price point and older gens that are so easy to mod with the exact same features. Long story short...until Sony figures out a way to make it so don't have to rebuy my favorite games a second time (at their rather high prices), I say don't encourage their behavior. The idea of the Go is sound, hardware is good, but creating proprietary inputs along with no UMD conversion plan was clearly driven by pure greed. I have a feeling this is the same kind of hate that is so often shown to the macbook air. The Go! is a premium product that is not meant for everyone. $50 - Yes, it's a commodity, what the hell.

$100 - If there are some cool games, or I can mod the hell out of it, I'd probably go for it.

$150 - There'd better be some sweet games, I'd better be able to mod it, and it'd better do a lot of other stuff (music, HD movies, etc)

$200 - no

$250 - ....

I'm sorry, it's a portable system. As in, I'm going to use it for a few minutes here and there, maybe sporadically for longer periods, and if it does enough, possibly as a PMP.
