The serifed fonts are less than ideal, especially in the actual Engadget posts. There's a reason most of the web is sans serif, and it has a lot to do with readability at low DPI.

Also, its annoying how the content is getting pushed farther and farther down the page. I would be impressed if Engadget editors pay much attention to the criticism we post here, but I have some more ideas. The differences between the font sizes on the front page are too large. We have headlines/titles that are 3 times larger than body text, and they are in a capitalized, heavy black, aggressive font. This makes them very loud compared to the delicate serif. Also, on the comment pages, the comment font is pretty small compared to everything else, it's harder to read. automatically expanding comment threads would be cool, too. I'd be delighted if designers here would consider making the fonts a bit more uniform in size, thanks.

mildoath

Comments on

i like it so far, i just miss the old, light blue, blog title links. i think they should be changed back from the new black. and i mean, now that everything is on one site (mobile, hd), why not color code the links, in that mobiles would be pink, black for hd, blue for original.

Eric

Comments on

@Casey Manley This is pretty bad-ass

N900

Comments on

@Casey Manley

Yech. Use the same font everywhere, its like a freaking 1950's advertisement, every font on every page, next they'll throw in some comic sans for something. Its mess to read.

John

Comments on

@Casey Manley testing...

poached
