MotoBlur isn't anything too overly exciting for me, I tried it and really didn't like it all that well. Partially due to T-mobile not having 3G coverage in my area? Only time will tell. However, even while on wifi, MotoBlur does bog the phones processing speed down dramatically. Especially if your a heavy user of facebook, myspace, twitter and so forth. So what I did was get rid of most of the widgets and my problem has been cured. The other thing I don't like about the phone is the placement of the power/lock key. While you can set the screen time out to suit most of your needs, I find by limiting the screen time out on one thing, limits it on everything. But this can be fixed. A developer simply needs to make an App for the home screen and once you cliq on it (sorry, just had too), it would shut the screen off. I was particularly worried about the keyboard at first, however, I do think after using it for time, it's actually quite better than the G1. I'm also a fan of the directional pad. I'm finding my screen selections, especially while surfing the web is far greater than that of the G1's roller ball. Now while I'll agree the droid's styling is more attractive that the Cliq, I see that phone as being more of a gimmick than a serious device. Sure, it's a sweet looking phone, but Motorola and Verizon are simply trying to compete with Apple and the iPhone. Rather than focusing on developing new and exciting products. Hence the Cliq with MotoBlur on T-Mobile.

mikem2511

Comments on How would you change Motorola's CLIQ?

totally agree but as far as processing power goes...
the cliq is pretty much the gimmick phone
I mean motoblur is basically a social networking gimmick

I think you might have got the two confused in that way. I mean you've got the Droid's ARM Cortex A8 compared to an ARM 11 with 500 some megahertz
Plus the droid has Android 2.0 which includes mapping and a lot of integrated soc networks in contacts (not as much as Motoblur though). I give Moto credit for trying with Motoblur but let's be honest.... it's not as nice as HTC's Sense

ale

Comments on How would you change Motorola's CLIQ?

Iwould make it run windows mobile.
