The Engadget Show tapes today with HTC's Drew Bamford and Chris Grant of Joystiq (and giveaways!)

We'll also be joined by Joystiq's Editor-in-chief Chris Grant for a special roundtable discussion focused on gaming, and we'll be demoing a bunch of new holiday titles as well as Spawn Labs' gaming placeshifter!
As a bonus, we've got giveaways for everyone in the audience, plus one of the lucky attendees will walk away with that Modern Warfare 2 Xbox 360 bundle we just got our hands on -- and HTC will be giving away a
The show takes place at the Tishman Auditorium at Parsons The New School for Design. As you may already know, we film live in front of an audience once a month -- but if you can't make it, don't worry. We're bringing the video back home to Engadget (and as a free download here, in the iTunes Store, or the Zune Marketplace) for your viewing pleasure.
The beautiful venue (which you can see in a photo after the break) is located at 66 W. 12th Street between 5th and 6th Aves. Seating is limited and tickets will be handed out on a first-come, first-served basis -- which means if you want to join us in the audience for the show, you'll have to arrive early and be prepared for a little wait.
Here are the facts you need to know about the show:
- The show is graciously sponsored by Nokia, and hosted by Parsons The New School for Design
- The total show length will be around an hour
- The amazing Glomag will be performing live along with visualist Dan Winckler!
- There is no admission fee -- tickets are completely free
- The event is all ages
- The venue seats just over 450 people
- Parsons students are welcomed, and we encourage them to come!
- Tickets will be available for pickup at the Tishman Auditorium at 2PM on the 22nd, and we're strongly encouraging people to get their tickets and not stand in line -- if you have a ticket, you'll have a seat!
- You'll need to hold onto your ticket stub to be eligible for the giveaways
- You cannot pick up tickets for other people -- if you want your friend to get a ticket, bring your friend!
- The show begins at 5PM, and doors will open at 4:30PM
Update: HTC actually surprised us with a brand new Sprint Hero instead of a Droid Eris to give away.

omw now :P
same
Great show; can't wait to see how the uhh, ahem...final...looks like.
So even the death threats didnt fase you eh? ;)
Who would've imagined that Soylent Green is so tasty?
Please please Josh don't wear those super tight hipster jeans. No one wants to see you indecent like that.
I think they're fab.
you would
agreed
Maybe Drew Bamford would remind you that they gave you a HD2 review unit..
The reason the review of the HD2 review has been delayed is that Engadget fear that HTC might pull Drew from the show if Engadget gave less than glowing review. It is the only logical explanation to me.
Maybe someone is getting payed by motorola. ;)
PLEASE, pretty please.. why won't you review the HD2 when you've had it for so long?
Awesome conspiracy theories guys, but the reason the review has been delayed is because we were working on launching the new Engadget.
I beg of the Mobile Phone Gods!!!! Please let us have this review already!
USTREAM or bust
Please resolve the minor issues with your website, line spacing in particular isn't difficult to address. All the tails on my y's and g's keep getting cut off and it's making me sad.

Say what?
True, I agree. Maybe not the right place to report such an annoyance.
It's a shame nothing cool happens in Houston. =/
I wanna go! I have to see if I can get my friend to come, I don't wanna go alone.
Wow, the "More on this topic" posts are all from almost over a year ago.
Ask him about the HTC Passion/Dragon and when it's coming!
Hopefully the film guy will crank up the lights this time so it doesn't look like it's darker than an opium den.
need stream !
See if you can talk him into putting a better OS on the HD3.
like winmo 7?
Is there a UStream link that I'm missing? Or do I just go to UStream and just do a search for Engadget?
Thanks.
Just grabbed my ticket!
Ustream link plz k thx
Is there actually a stream?
I hope so, because from Europe you really can't just go visit the show and it's an interesting topic. Please?!
I hope it's better than last time - I reached critical levels of boredom, only to get my hearing DESTROYED by a bunch of wii-tards banging on a gameboy to make the most horrible sounds.
Seriously. That music is horrible and it doesn't impress me at all. Oooooooo you can play music on a Gameboy.
Wow.
I enjoyed that last one. I thought Ballmer was gonna spear Josh when he brought up the whole sidekick/danger fiasco. The rage in Ballmer's eyes was priceless, I hope he goes easy on Drew Bamford.
No stream I take it?
I liked it as well, Josh trying to scrape off every single bit of information from Steve Ballmer was very cool to watch.
About the music: it is pretty different but I must say it sounds quite cool. It's probably very difficult to make such awkward 8-bit sounds work in a way that they represent a nice song/tune (the show's intro for example is awesome in my opinion).
PUHLEASE....where is the UStream? I am assuming though that if they didnt post a link in the advert then there wont be any live streaming going on.
....heres hoping that they just forgot to mention it.
really no ustream, thats so sad
ustream... or somewhere else to watch live?
any links?
no stream, iam disappointed
This episode is not being streamed live. Sorry!
BOOOOOOOOOO!!!!
Please have the show up for download a.s.a.p.
Thanks! ;D
Does anyone else agree that engadget needs to add a wider margin to its new layout? I don't like the whole no margin thing
No UStream = phail. :(
How can such a supposedly tech savy crowd not have one person streaming audio or video or at least live blogging from their um... gadget?! Given the got topic of upcoming HTC phones this show should have some live accessibility especially since engadget has been reposting about it over and over despite the fact that 99.99% of it's audience can't attend the show.
Does Nokia know you've got the guy from HTC on there??
There should have been something done to bring this to the masses. Guess its better late then never. I am dying to see this.. please do something ASAP
We heard you the first three times.
Where the hell is the video now!?!?!? I hope it's posted soon.
