But the Precision looks like a sports car next to the w700 which more closely resembles a station wagon.  Nice machine but huge.  The Wacom pad is small but I've friends who say they get used to it. Anyhows, the thinkpads are better built IMHO, and I' reading a lot of complaints about the 6400 that it freezes up and has all kind of issues, aren't you having any? I've been forced to go with AW's 15.6" i7 because the 17"er isn't i7 yet. My sister showed me the Dell Outlet store and there just happened to be a totally loaded Covet (QX9300 quad extreme processor, edge to edge RGB LED display, quatro fx3700 GPU and two 320GB Seagate Momentus drives, slot load optical drive and all the rest and ended up paying 2400 bucks that included three years of Complete Care and 7% sales tax.  And it was brand new right down to the packaging.
