Patch 3.3 set to conditionally release next week

While we weren't going to announce this until we had something more definitive to announce, a couple other sites are running that patch 3.3 is due to be out next week. From what our multiple sources close to the situation have told us, the following is true:

  • Patch 3.3 is done, more or less.

  • There are a couple server issues to be worked out.

  • If the server issues are worked out, the patch will go live on December 8th.

We're not ready to say with 100% certainty that patch 3.3 will arrive next Tuesday for the US, Wednesday for the EU. If these issues are not resolved, then there won't be a patch for at least another week. Don't say we didn't warn you.

We should have more solid confirmation towards the end of this week (or sometime next Monday afternoon) and will bring it to you when we get it.

All the information about patch 3.3 you need is contained in our guide, so head over there and read up in case you don't know what this monstrous patch will be about.

Patch 3.3 is the last major patch of Wrath of the Lich King. With the new Icecrown Citadel 5-man dungeons and 10/25-man raid arriving soon, patch 3.3 will deal the final blow to Arthas. WoW.com's Guide to Patch 3.3 will keep you updated with all the latest patch news.
