Looking for a BlackBerry for yourself or a special someone that's unique but not in a Colorware sort of way? Then you might just want to consider ponying up for this new limited edition BlackBerry 9700 crafted by the folks at Monocle in partnership with RIM. It'll cost you a hefty £950 (or just over $1,500), but that will get you the gift of confidence that this is one of just 100, along with some suitably luxurious touches like a custom leather strap, a reminder of its rarity on the back, Monocle's 25/25 travel guides pre-loaded on the device, a few custom wallpapers, and even a 16GB microSD card thrown in for good measure. Alright, so maybe it's a bit tough to justify the $1,000+ premium, but those ready to throw caution to the wind can expect their order to ship on December 10th.

People who buy these arent paying for them. Their "work" would be buying them. I know I didn't pay for my BB Tour work phone.
It is overpriced, but to the overpayed executive who will just expense it out to the company doesn't care anyway.

Unless the battery happens to be a lithium-ion-half-ounce-24k-GOLD battery, that's the biggest ripoff I've seen for a leather strap in a long time.
Just give the Chinese a few hours and we'll be having $4 versions on Ebay

Serially numbered as well. Lower numbers being worth more, of course. In keeping with the highly developed intrinsic piece of human nature that craves the ability to say, "I have something you don't have!". I would probably pay a midget to punch someone down low if I saw them with this piece of junk.

This appears to be the Euro version anyways, since that site is in pounds. Probably no NAM (AT&T) or T-Mobile version.
$1500??? Just look at the cord of that strap. Its so thin its going to break after some wear and tear. And the strap itself doesn't even match the color scheme of the phone itself.
And yeah, that strap is manufactured in China, worth $.50 tops
