Thanks to a flux capacitor running the active cooling it can run that as well as all of the other toys that we will get to in a minute. The flux capacitor works by maintaining a spinning disk that -at its outer edge- moves at over 88 miles per hour, opening a time rift and allowing the phone to vent all of its heat to the island of Krakatoa (in approximately 1882). Thus, the phone produces barely any noticeable heat. Though you can fire up the "warm me up" app, which instead vents the heat into your pocket, making you feel nice and toasty on those cold winter nights.

As for bands, because of the integrated flux capacitor, it can in fact surf on all bands simultaneously. In addition to the advertised iDEN capability, the phone also features LTE, Wifi, AM, FM, Wimax, HSDPA+, QUG (the next standard after the great Carrierpocalypse of 2015), EDGE, EVDO rev. A-Z (you'll hear about that later too). Plus a number of legacy standards. It can do this through its revolutionary Morph-O-Tenna, which can change its shape in order to send/receive on whatever wavelength it wishes. A firmware upgrade will allow it to access even more bands.

As for a screen, though the press shots don't capture it, is 1000 ppi. This allows it to show whatever it pleases, and thanks to the processor and dual GPUs (you wouldn't recognize the name for a few years yet) it can output quad-HD video wirelessly to an included base station that includes hdmi, lightpeak, dvi, vga, displayport, and a few that you haven't heard of yet.

The camera is a marvel of engineering, and actually integrates a new sensor that shifts itself so that you can get a dslr quality image out of a cameraphone sensor. The trick is that the sensor shifts itself back and forth in order to get more light per pixel. It shifts itself fast enough that exposures up to 1/8000 of a second are possible, as well as full manual exposure and a bulb shot mode (a first for a cameraphone).
There is also a front facing camera of a similar design that allows for video conferencing. There will be a firmware upgrade about a month after release allowing for holographic calls and viewing as well. How the firmware does this is a trade secret.

The phone nominally runs android, but also comes bundled with windows 7 and a specialized linux distribution. Thanks to a revolutionary new memory system, it has 32 TB of memory, backed up to a data center run by Motorola in an undisclosed location.

While you may be thinking that the battery life on this phone may be about 12 seconds (less if you actually want to do things on it...), but that is where you are wrong. The phone uses an antimatter battery, and can charge through a standard usb port, though the battery has been estimated to last more than three years (they haven't been able to run it down yet).

While the price is as-of-yet undisclosed, one can expect something around the usual $199 on contract, with prices falling precipitously following its release.

I'm pretty excited for this phone.

Vwampage

Comments on Motorola's Opus One leaks out, whispers of 'iDEN' and 'Android' overheard

@Vwampage
lul

sean

Comments on Motorola's Opus One leaks out, whispers of 'iDEN' and 'Android' overheard

@Vwampage DO WANT!

Shawn

Comments on Motorola's Opus One leaks out, whispers of 'iDEN' and 'Android' overheard

@Vwampage omg I can't wait.
