First of all, I refuse to pay ridiculous amounts of money for worthless data when I can pick up any WiFi hotspot anywhere. I don't find I need data.

If I had data, then how would I be able to navigate around Europe during my vacations? Pay a hefty roaming charge? How about no.

This summer, I went to Europe to visit relatives, and when I would go out by myself to meet someone at a specific location I had no idea about, I would open my Nokia N95, go over to the Maps and use the integrated GPS Satellite receiver to get satellite signals free of charge that lock within 1-2 minutes and are VERY accurate.

Yes, making it worthless as a navigation device since it cannot do nav without their license. I think after the ridiculous prices Nokia charges for their product ($600+ for an unlocked device), that they would license you the navigation for free... but that's just me. I am not paying $63.99 MORE to Nokia, thanks. Nokia has until this coming summer to show me something new (that works on AT&T, wish the n900 did) before i jump ship. Just too many complaints about the n97 for me to get on board for $500.

While there is some upgrade to it, but it's not much.
The e71 was never slow, of course we all love for phones to be faster, but it's still not a purchase point to upgrade from an e71 in this case.

Really, the software looks like a downgrade.
No internet radio? That's enough right there to keep many people from buying it. Maybe in a firmware update? If the 5800 and n97 never got it, i wouldn't hold my breath.

As of right now, other than the compass and better camera, i see nothing that i couldn't just do with the e71.

fair enough :) I'm rocking a N82 right now waiting for my perfect upgrade, and I hope it comes soon since my battery life is somewhere around 1hour now :| N900 looks like the one for me :) but if i wanted a BB style device the E72 would probably be in the running.

The optical trackpad would be nice to have, but the spacebar is wayy too small. The E71's is small enough for a heavy texter.

I have an application that allows the flashlight functionality. The E71 is a terrible flashlight, but it is better than nothing in a pinch.

The noise cancellation, MicroUSB charging, and compass would be nice, but are they worth an extra $120?

I have to laugh at the podcasting comments, I never even knew the E71 has a podcasting app, and it's worthless anyways, since its not in Apple's ecosystem.
