Far from the truth.

The hardware on this little thing makes short work of everything in the netbook realm, apart from the ion hp mini 311 and the acer timeline 1810/1410, which still lag behind, performance wise. Considering that it costs the same, which is half the money of the previous Ferrari branded model, you can hardly say it's not a good purchase.

But all in all, a wipe of the cheesy Vroooooom! startup chime and all the Ferrari wallpaper, shortcuts and screensaver crap really can help with the getting a date part.

Maybe a couple of stickers too. Still remains a great portable, performance wise, and at 5 hours of battery life, it's a balanced enough offering between portability and power.

It's sad when a brand license is sold for the sole purpose of hocking a netbook.

There is nothing inherently magical about the netbook, except that the price is more decent then the first Acer + Ferrari miscarriage that left them with a massive overstock.
