Like a mix of a Nintendo DS and some kind of early 80ies PC. Plus, I think Android is a big advantage over some proprietary Linux OS. After all, even if Odroid fails, it will still be able to run any Android software. Also, for developers the risk should be smaller since they could port their games to other Android devices with little to no effort. Seems like it's such a cool sounding business idea that regardless of how many handhelds have failed before, there's always one more coming out.<br><br>First game development for android in java is a bitch, it's simply too slow. Developing native code is more complicated and cumbersome, makes it more difficult to cover a range of android devices. Take for example the iPhone, for some they want it because of the apps, which are created by people and companies alike. The mobile gaming market is going to be flooded with these Android gaming devices.  The only problem is whether all the games will play on all the various Android gaming devices.  Being able to use it with flat-screen displays is a very nice feature.  Eventually, they'll probably sell for $100. So is the ZiiEGG, as mocax said.<br><br>astrath, you can develop native (C++) games and apps for all Android devices, iPhone, the ZiiEGG and a host of other smartphone platforms using Airplay SDK. The toolchain generates fast-as-can-be compiled CPU instructions for max performance. Little wonder that it's already been used for 3 #1 iPhone games in the last 6 months (Call of Duty: World at War: ZOMBIES, Backbreaker, and Resident Evil: Degeneration). Although, major revisions are required before I will actually consider purchasing it. Way too much D-pad action going on here, as stated from previous posters. Why not make circular buttons with d-pad :-( ? . <br><br>I've been waiting to play around with Android, but have been limited to the Emulator due to the fact there is no pay-as-you go Android phones (* yes, there are unlocked Android phones, but no android pay as you go from t-mobile*). Also, why did creative abandon the Zii Egg android interface, and replace it with Plaszma?
