Xperia Pureness available now - includes concierge service, avarice
Great news for the disposable income crowd: The Sony Ericsson Xperia Pureness is finally available online through Saks Fifth Avenue -- and it can be yours for a mere $990. According to some seriously high-minded PR, the sleek and feature-poor handset "represents an alternative approach to life in the complex, digital age by refining the mobile phone to its most essentials functions." You see, this bad boy "is not simply about a phone; it is about opening a debate about people's relationship with technology in a complex world." Got that? In case you're still not sold, did we mention that the purchase price includes a concierge service? Although we don't know for sure, it's probably not a leap to assume that this "concierge" is a help desk employee somewhere who could feed his village for a month with the grand you dropped on a cell phone. PR after the break.

If the concierge service includes her, count me in!
@Joe Cool - You only get her earrings.
@Joe Cool
minus that uhh.. i'd like to say.. sweater(?) shes wearing
@Joe Cool Whoa, you're joe cool too. Cool... I guess :-/
@JoeCool1986
1986?! you can't be 23!! That's the year I was born! ooooo.... Maybe you're my long lost twin!
@Joe Cool S.E has always made a classy ads before, from their Xperia models and now, a concierge of sassiness again? lol, hopefully will
be as good as that model. lol! and Another POV: http://bit.ly/xperia-pureness-sexy-rachael-ui
Does this phone come with a built in fellatio machine as well!?!?
@(Unverified)
I think you have mistaken it with another, fruit bearing manufacturer.
@(Unverified)
There are two reasons that this phone does not need a fellatio function built into it:
1) Anyone who buys this phone blows pretty hard already
2) Anyone who buys this phone is compensating for a penis so small, it's impossible to fellate
@(Unverified) Theres an app for that.
Isn't this the phone that the one guy had in Royal Pains?
Mancierge!
"Yes, I'm looking for a place to buy pizza for a friend of mine."
A piece of what?
"No, Pizza"
Where are you?
"Devner, ColorAdo"
Would you be interested in steak?
"Uh, yeah... preferably pizza."
I just spilled coffee... all over my trousers.. I'm gonna have to call you back.
Hey look it's the invisible phone...it's so cool and expensive I can't even see the screen
Eden of the East, look it up.
Do those earrings double as titty tassels?
@7egend
let me guess.... you do NOT have a girlfriend
Their slogan for this phone should be "Because people can't see you throwing money out of your car window, we let you show them how you waste it in style"
@Ineed911
Or "Purefection Engineered" since it is just an engineering demo of sorts for them.
@Ineed911
This is kinda like the Adamo and that Thermaltake case, they just wanna show that they can produce ridiculous concepts and actually put them on the market.
And I suppose there's no denying it, that girl looks very good. ;d
I like the 'pre' girl better.
(watch what jokes you make now guys)
I don't usually join the creepy product model circlejerks that happen here, but damn that girl is seriously beautiful.
@Uncontrol
and seriously photoshopped.
I hope Sony loses a ton of money on this because its just pitiful and they'd deserve it
@yulebellow
There are a lot of morons in this world with more money than brains.
@yulebellow
It's not immoral. SE sells cheaper phones too. Some people want a person to talk to, some people want to use a device. Some people want to spend thousands on rocks for their ears and fingers, some do not.
This is an honest transaction that shouldn't be condemned unless it's actually hurting someone. Since everyone involved is freely doing their business, from the employee to the buyer, everyone is getting richer. This phone isn't for me, either, but so what?
@yulebellow
its not like this is sony ericssons only phone, they do have some cheaper ones, i gotta say i am actually quite impressed with the X10 preview
anyway these kind of phones are in the 'premier' range just like nokia's gold plated sirroco editions that cost $700 whatever,
but what puzzles me is how much do they need to manufacture this phone as it looks relatively cheap,.. they kinda get a proffit of $900
buy a vertu!!!! cheapos!!!!
Lol, I guess Joseph woke up one the wrong side of the bed today. Harsh but amusing! Keep up the good work!
She looks like that bird from 90210
Wow SE you guys are smoking some good crack. Really?! I mean REALLY?! Not only did you lose almost a billion dollars, your CEO resigns and then when you release what is to be a great flagship phone, you can't even subsidize the cost. But to make this situation more fun, you decide to dedicate minimal resources into making a transparent phone?! who the F does your market research? Because I need a job and I'd be MOOORE than happy to slap you guys silly. What a fail lol
Wow. What a load of nonsense.
beside the jokes she IS one of the most beautiful woman i've seen for years. one goddess can cure them all.
Did she have to beat up a couple high school kids to get those ear rings? Man that would be one hell of a graduation day story.
ohh please girlfriend u think ur cool with those earrings and a phone without a screen?? gosh why would u buy that phone????
This doesnt surprise coz i have seen a lots of idiots with the Nokia 8800 which sells for the equivalent of USD 1400 here
Soooooo it's a fancy jitter bug with tech support? Great, I'll inform my grandparents!
HOLY CRAP. SE is really fallin down....
Who are they selling?? The girl or what??
@JAG Well... I'd rather spend $1000 on the girl, so yeah, it's actually possible. Now I'm just curious whether SE has a cloning factory floating somewhere on international waters to satisfy the demands.
