So, Windows, now comes with a browser again, my point transfers. You buy an operating system and expect to be able to get on the web with it, even if you do change the browser, its important to have a web browser on there in the first place. i see your analogy , and I agree with it, it is stupid ... but you can't look at this in the way you are looking at it. If you google anticompetitive law, you can see what it is trying to do. People make money from browsers .. even free browsers. Having a browser tied into a system that is a monopoly is why this come about. I'm fully aware of the accusations and such of basically eliminating competition from the hardware they are on.

But I find it in MY opinion to be idiotic. That's what you do in a business. You don't have the clout and money to throw around...back down and continue on at your on peril.

Personally, I'm not of the opinion that Apple should be sued for the same reasons, I actually think its more than fair for a modern OS to have an internet browser included in it, and for that to be the browser of the company that has expended the time and energy to make it. But since they've decided that this isn't acceptable, it needs to be applied to everyone, not just one company. Some routers GUI pages don't even properly work in anything but IE.
