Why, in a world with sub 400 netbooks with more functionality, do these tablets make any sort of sense? All you're really doing here is removing the keyboard and adding a touch screen. However, as laptops get thinner and bezels get close to non-existent to the point where laptops are literally the size of a screen. They will naturally become tablets and the traditional folding laptop will be phased out. Keyboards will be wireless, detachable pieces. The future of the mouse is that there is none - there won't be any pointers. PCs will all be controlled by your fingers.

Sure people don't like the screen to be exposed when not in use - cases/slips would be vital here. Not saying I'm gonna get this specifically, but if you give me a screen that's 7"-9", capacitive, multi-touch, 16:9, 1280x720 minimum, with a stylus, then you've got me seriously considering it.

If you give me Windows 7 Home Premium, a decent CPU/GPU, a decent amount of RAM, upgradable HDD/SSD, HDMI out, 3.5mm out, webcam & mic, optical mouse & buttons, 802.11n, Bluetooth 2.1+EDR, decent quality & volume speakers, and a couple of USB ports, and I'd go out right now and buy one.

This is of course assuming it's not well over a grand. Can't say I'm too worried though. The 60GB Archos 9 is only $550.
